I have a lot of plans for this summer. The first thing that I am going to do is to visit my cousin Alicia in Los Angeles. She has invited us to a big party there because her daughter is going to do her first communion. We are very happy for her. After visiting with my cousin, we have spend two days there. Then my family and I planned to continue traveling into Michoacan for two days. We planned this travel since march and I think that is going to be amazing. We are very exiting because we are going to go to Mexico City and visit the archaeological zone of Mexico such as Teotihuacan the pyramid of the sun and the pyramid of the moon. Many people go there at the beginning of summer because they think that the pyramid get a lot of good energy and the Aztec goddess bless them. Unfortunately, in Mexico is not summer now, but I hope that in the future can visit this place at summer. I have ready my digital camera to take a lot of pictures and bring with me to show my friends here. The other thing that I am going to do is visit the cougar's soccer stadium. Then my family and I are going to visit the Guadalupe's Virgin church we are pray and give thanks for all things that she gave us. I can't wait to go there. I believe that this vacation are going to be the best vacation in my life.

Living on your own has a lot of benefits of responsibility and sometimes is difficult. I have to be a very responsible person because the first thing that I have to do is have job to make money and looking for a good place to live. For example a house or an apartment. I think that have money is the most important thing because I need it to pay the rent, water, electricity,house gas, garbage and buy the basic expenses such as groceries, car gas and clothes also I have to pay for communication like land line telephone, cell phone, and cable or dish. Other kind of things that it's necessary have at home is the durable things like car, computer, TV and printer those things help me with my job and school. Then pay to entertainment such as go to the cinema, take dinner at the restaurant and go dancing. Finally it is very important to have good habits like clean the house, do the laundry, recycling this help me to return cash to my pocket and maintenance. Definitive living on my own is not easy but can be a great experience in my life and I think that living along can help me to be more responsible and grew up.

It was a tragedy in Blackburgs, Virginia. More than thirty students and faculty were killed by the guns of just one student. I was shocked and couldn't explain how I felt about except that I am very sad for all families and friends who lost someone they loved. This kind of tragedy should be avoided. Using the Virgina Tech website, I learned the timeline of events of April 16, 2007 7:15 a.m:

Virginia Tech Police Department (VT PD) receives a 911 call to respond to a dormitory room at West Ambler Johnston Residence Hall.
Within minutes, Virginia Tech Police and Virginia Tech Rescue Squad respond to find two gunshot victims, a male and a female, inside a dormitory room within the Hall. The residence hall was immediately secured by VT PD, and students within the hall were notified and asked to remain in their rooms for their safety. VT PD immediately secured the room for evidence collection and began questioning dorm residents and identifying potential witnesses. In the preliminary stages of the investigation, it was believed the deaths were an isolated incident, domestic in nature.
Blacksburg Police Department was also on scene assisting VT PD with establishing a safety perimeter around the residence hall and securing Washington Street.
7:30 a.m.
Investigators were following up on leads concerning a person of interest in relation to the double homicide. Investigators from VT PD and Blacksburg PD were actively following up on various leads.
8:25 a.m.
Virginia Tech Leadership Team, which includes the university president, executive vice president, and provost, assembled to begin assessing the developing situation at the residence hall and determining a means of notifying students of the homicide.
9:00 a.m.
Leadership Team was briefed on the situation by VT PD Chief W.R. Flinchum on the latest developments in the ongoing investigation at the residence hall.
9:26 a.m.
The Virginia Tech community – all faculty and students – were notified by e-mail of the homicide investigation and scene at West Ambler Johnston Residence Hall, and asked to report any suspicious activity. The Virginia Tech Emergency/Weather Line recordings were also transmitted and a broadcast telephone message was made to campus phones. A press release was drafted and posted on the Virginia Tech website.
9:45 a.m.
The VT PD received a 911 call of a shooting at Norris Hall, which contains faculty offices, classrooms, and laboratories. VT PD and Blacksburg PD immediately responded to Norris Hall. Notice in leadership command center via our police rep of a shooting in Norris.
Upon arrival to Norris Hall, the officers found the front doors barricaded. Within a minute, the officers breached the doors, which had been chained shut from the inside.
Once inside the building, the officers heard gunshots. They followed the succession of gunshots to the second floor. Just as the officers reached the second floor, the gunshots stopped.
The officers discovered the gunman, who had taken his own life. There was never any engagement between the responding officers and the gunman.
9:55 a.m.

By the same means as prior notice, Virginia Tech notified campus community of the second murder scene. Other notifications followed via other means. This situation is very sad and I hope that someday we can prevent it. For example, I think that the school needs to improve it's emergency alert system, to warn classrooms that a dangerous person is on campus. I also think that laws need to be made to make it harder for a crazy person to get and use guns. If the student had tried to massacre with only a knife, he certainly wouldn't have killed 30 people before he was stopped. I hope that this situation never happen again.

The last spring break It was very sad for me because I couldn't go to Mexico because I had to work. I have to manage my time because I have a lot of homework and also I had to work. So I have to put first my priorities such as my homework. I could say that I travel by Internet because one of my homework it was that I have to look for information about Brazil and its culture. My old brother told me the name of some pages where I could find some information about that country. I hope that some day I could travel to Brazil specially at the days of the carnaval. Other things that I had to do was clean the house. We made a general clean and also my four brothers want to paint the house. They choose a beautiful green color for the walls and the house look very nice with this color. I work very hard but I feel very happy with all things that I did.

Jealousy is very destructive in the relationship of a couple. I never felt jealous until I knew my boyfriend's cousin. Since she moved to Merced, we have a lot of troubles because she likes to stay so close to Alex. She invites him to go dancing or go to the movie theater, but she never invites me. She knows that I am Alex's girlfriend but when we are together she always interrupts us. Once when we were arguing about her in his room, she came knocking on the door. On another occasion, when we were in the movie theater, she calls him on his cell phone to simply say and hello and interrupt the enjoyment of the movie. When those things happened I feel very jealous and angry. Alex knows how I feel, but he doesn't do anything to resolve the problem. When I insist that we talk about it we end up arguing. Sometimes I think that is would be better if we broke up for a little while, so that Alex could become jealous of the guys I talk at school. Jealousy is not good feeling.

My embarrassing moment was four years ago. When my mother organized a costume party for my birthday. My Friends and I already had a plan. We wanted to go the beach, but when my friends and I arrived at home, my mother showed me a rabbit costume. She told me, "Dulce, happy birthday honey". I felt how my face became red with embarrassment as my friends laughed. One of my friends told me not to worry because the costume is really funny and cute. My friends decided to stay in the party and all they began to jump like a rabbit they said "we want to be a rabbit for today". The cake that my mother made for me look like a carrot and to be honest it was delicious. All my friends are very happy in the party more than me because I feel so embarrased with the rabbit costume but I don't like to feel my mother sad and I had to wear it. One hour later my boyfriend came and he told me "you look pretty honey, let me took a photo" I never feel like that. The next day my boyfriend bought for me a rabbit and chihuahua dog. He told me "I never forget that day" and I say me neither.

My favorite family member is my litter brother Hugo. He is 21 years old. He study at Merced College his mayor is nutritionist and he study very hard for his goal. He has two jobs Saturday and Sunday he works at McDonald and Monday true Friday he woks at the cannery. He is a very good example for me. My brother is one of the most intelligent person that I know. He has very good grades at school and he always have time for study. He says that the study is the key for have a good future. When he has time. He likes to listen to music and read. But definitely his favorite hobby is play soccer. Many people told him that he is a wonderful soccer player. Three years ago his soccer team won a championship and we are very proud of him because the juices told that he was the best soccer player and they gave him a trophy. My brother was very important for me because he help me very much especially when sometimes I want to leave the school. He told me please don't think like that you can do it. But he also is very important for all family because he is the baby and we are very proud of him.
